Duralee Acquires Gaetano
December 2,
2014 by in Acquisition, Industry
Duralee, Bay Shore, N.Y., acquired Gaetano from President Thomas Fish for an undisclosed amount. For more than 20 years, Gaetano has been a leading designer, manufacturer and premier distributor of luxury fabrics to the trade. Fish will continue in his role of president of the Gaetano brands, and also serve as vice president of corporate development projects for Duralee.
With the acquisition of Gaetano, Duralee becomes the exclusive United States distributor of U.K.-based silk specialists James Hare, as well as the fine drapery and upholstery brand Today Interiors. The addition of the recently launched Peggy Platner Collection further enhances the breadth and depth of Duralee’s collections by offering the designer rich texture and exquisite qualities with a nod toward relaxed coastal style.
From fabric to trimmings to furniture and--most recently--drapery hardware, Duralee has been committed to steadily expanding product offerings to the design trade.
