Last Mile Home Opens Chicago-Area Warehouse

Last Mile Home, Mendota Heights, Minn., will be service and staff the warehouse operation to provide furniture inspection, deluxing, and repair prior to delivery to consumers’ homes.

“Our driver teams will be equipped with tablet technology powered by DispatchTrack,” said General Manager Brian Tennant, “which gives customers and consumers visibility into the final delivery time so they can manage their days more easily around the final delivery."

Business Development Specialist Denny McGrath said that the warehouse, which will be operational by Dec. 15, will be serviced by 10 to 14 drivers making 150 home deliveries daily for its high-end furniture clients. The company initially will employ 12 warehouse associates and as many as 25 in 2015. 

"The warehouse is centrally located just west of O’Hare International Airport to service consumers  efficiently throughout Chicagoland,” McGrath said.

Last Mile Home is part of Manna Freight Systems Inc. and already operates a warehouse in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
