SHEEX Files 2 More Patent Infringement Suits

The two lawsuits, which were filed Tuesday in the U.S. Federal District Court in Wilmington, Del., allege that Cocona's "Sleep 37.5 Sheets" and "Sleep Number Comfort Dry Sheets" and E&E's "Protech Performance" and "Protech Plus" infringe two SHEEX patents on the use of performance fabrics.
SHEEX also had filed a lawsuit last Friday against BedGear's "Dri-Tec Performance Sheets", alleging infringement of the same two patents.
The inventions in these patents solved the technological challenges SHEEX faced by designing bed sheets made of high performance knit fabric. SHEEX uses its patented inventions in SHEEX performance sleep products. All three lawsuits allege these companies (BedGear, Cocona and E&E) are willfully infringing, disregarding and not respecting intellectual property rights of SHEEX.
"As you can see, we are very serious about vigorously protecting our patents," said Michelle Marciniak, co-founder and co-CEO of SHEEX, Irmo, S.C. "We take great pride in having invented, developed and patented our performance sleep bedding technology and will continue to fight to protect the integrity of our brand patents."
