Furnitureland South to Unveil New Gallery

Furnitureland South Ground FloorFurnitureland South is targeting first-time home buyers and budget-conscious shoppers with a new gallery called "Ground Floor."

A grand opening of the 62,000-plus-square-foot gallery is set for Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Jamestown, N.C., store.

This marks the third new gallery opening in 2014 even as renovations and additions continue in both the Mart and Showroom buildings.

Located on the ground floor of the Showroom building on the Furnitureland South campus, the Ground Floor gallery brings manufacturers Klaussner, Legacy and Aria to the retail location for the first time. Other brands represented include Pulaski, Broyhill, Universal, Braxton Culler, Rowe and others.

In addition to furniture, the gallery features lighting, rugs, linens and accessories, all at comparable pricing.

“We are so pleased to have this gallery complete and open for our customers,” said Jeff Harris, CEO. “The brands located in the Ground Floor represent some of the best price points and value without compromising quality that you’ll find anywhere.”

Founded in 1969 by A. Darrell Harris, Furnitureland South has grown from a small, one-man operation into the largest single-store furniture retailer in the world. Furnitureland South has more than 1 million square feet of showrooms and more than 1,000 name-brand manufacturers represented.
