2014 by in Green, Industry
SFC members will have the opportunity to spend concentrated time with some of the country’s leading policy makers, and tell government leaders what needs to happen on key policy issues: climate, tax and chemical reform, minimum wage, sustainable agriculture, small business capital access and other issues. They have a chance to create working relationships with elected officials and regulators that can help shape policy outcomes in the new 114th Congress; and can network with and learn from more than 100 leaders of the innovative and responsible businesses.
The Summit starts Wednesday, Nov. 12 with an evening networking reception with guests from the White House and Congress at a beautiful Capitol Hill residence. Thursday, Nov. 13 includes a day-long strategy and planning session hosted by K&L Gates LLP with presenters from the media, administration and Congress; and an evening networking reception.
Friday, Nov. 14 starts at the White House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., for meetings with senior administration officials on key policy issues, including invited guests Secretary of Labor Tom Perez and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy; and then moves to Capitol Hill for lobby visits at House and Senate offices.
Register online here to participate in the event. ASBC is reserving blocks of reasonably-priced hotel rooms in downtown Washington at the Club Quarters and Beacon Hotels. Check the Web site for details. For questions, contact Lakita Mcneil at 202.595.9302, ext. 107.
