Ed Campbell has joined specialty bedding vendor Dormeo has named
sleep products industry veteran Ed Campbell as key account manager, dedicated to its Art Van relationship.
The move is part of a number of changes to its sales management team to better service its dealers. Campbell is the fifth key account manager recently assigned to top accounts to help deepen the relationship between key dealers and the company.
Campbell is a 15-year veteran of the mattress industry, with leading brands such as Simmons, Tempur-Pedic and Ashley-Sleep. He held a key account manager role for six years with Simmons Beautyrest, then spent seven years as business development manager with Tempur-Pedic. Most recently, he was regional sales manager for Ashley-Sleep, where he led the re-launch of the Ashley-Sleep line over 13 states across the Northeast.
In the key account role, managers focus exclusively on one dealer and their showrooms, working closely on training, customer service and troubleshooting logistical issues as they might arise.
“We see the expansion of our key account management level to be intrinsic to growing our business with select quality accounts. Exclusive service roles are very uncommon among smaller brands like ours and our dealers really appreciate the investment we are making to help them,” said Jon Stowe, CEO of Dormeo N.A., Plano, Texas. “Ed is a great industry resource that will have a huge role in helping sell through in the Art Van network.”
Campbell received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University where he majored in marketing. He lives in South Lyon, Mi.
