Flexsteel 1Q Income Climbs 29%

Home furnishings supplier Flexsteel Inds. (NASDAQ: FLXS) first quarter sales climbed 4 percent to $109 million over sales of $104.3 million for the first quarter of last year.
The company's net income for the quarter $4.9 million a 29 percent increase from $3.8 million reported in the first quarter last year.
First quarter net sales for the residential furniture segment were $92 million, a 9 percent increase from $84 million in the same quarter last year.
