Dot & Bo curates unique merchandise into daily collections that weave together furniture and decor with trends, tips, history and lifestyle inspiration. The goal is to engage audiences the same way a magazine or television show would, merging retail and entertainment.
"Nancy Tellem is a respected entertainment industry veteran and we're fortunate to have her join Dot & Bo's board," said Anthony Soohoo,
co-founder and CEO of Dot & Bo. "Her many years of experience developing successful TV series is a major asset. Using Nancy's insight
and experience, we will continue to evolve and engage our audience through the stories behind each hand-picked item as we extend the reach
of content programming to e-commerce."
Tellem is president of entertainment & digital media at Microsoft, where she created interactive content for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Previously, she was president of the CBS Network Television Entertainment Group, where she supervised development, production, business affairs, operations, and programming for both the network and the studio. In 2006, Tellem was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame; and in 2008, Forbes included her on its list of "The World's 100 Most Powerful Women."
"Dot & Bo is changing the way people shop through a compelling and rich consumer experience that is wholly new and yet familiar," Tellem said.
"The potential of Dot & Bo's idea to reimagine commerce and entertainment is quite remarkable. I'm thrilled to be working with Anthony and the rest of the board and am looking forward to taking advantage of all the opportunities ahead."
