Brown Jordan Promotes 3

In his position, King will oversee operations for the Tropitone and Winston furniture companies. He will continue with his responsibilities as corporate secretary for Brown Jordan.

King has managed the  has overseen the Charter Furniture business since 2010. King reports to Gene Moriarty, Brown Jordan’s president and CEO.

“Fred has been instrumental in Brown Jordan’s success as a diversified growth company," Moriarty said. "Under Fred’s leadership, I look forward to continued advancements for both the Tropitone and Winston businesses."

Prior to joining Brown Jordan, King was vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Givaudan Flavors Corp. and Givaudan Fragrances

Corp.; vice president and general counsel of Standard Textile Co., Inc. and has held counsel positions with The Progressive Group of Insurance Cos. and Squire Patton Boggs.

In addition, Brown Jordan has promoted Randy Danielson to executive vice president of Tropitone, effective immediately and reporting to King.

Danielson joined Tropitone in 2000. He recently held the position of CFO, director and secretary and has been responsible for the Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain departments and both of the company’s manufacturing plants.

Prior to joining Tropitone, Danielson was vice president of finance for Tri-Star Electronics and Cory Components, vice president of finance, director and secretary of Cummins Recon and Cummins South Pacific, business unit director and controller of Pacific Scientific Inc., cost and financial planning manager of Beatrice Foods, and CPA-senior auditor of Weber Lipshie.

Also, Rick Dawson has been named division president of Charter Furniture. 

Dawson has been senior vice president of sales for Charter Furniture since 2006 and now oversees all operations and sales responsibilities.

He reports to Moriarty in his new role.
