Ikea Canada Launches New Shopping Service

Ikea Canada has rolled out an in-store shopping service that will allow customers to have their furniture picked and delivered directly to their homes.

The rounds out the retailer's existing offer of delivery, assembly, installation, and kitchen services. The new Ikea shopping service has been priced at $89.

"As our range offer evolves with an even bigger focus on kitchens, bathrooms and wardrobe systems, we are also evolving our service offer to meet the needs of our customers." says Hilary Lloyd, vice president of marketing for Ikea Canada, Burlington, Ontario. "We know our customers' time is at a premium, which is why we want to make shopping at Ikea more convenient than ever by offering a pick and deliver service."

Ikea Canada will offer same day deliveries as part of the shopping service.

Ikea also is expanding its digital service offer. Most recently, Ikea Canada launched a free WiFi service in stores across Canada, and also has launched an Ikea Canada Shopping App, making it easier to browse products, discover special offers, check stock availability, and locate products in the self-serve warehouse.

Ikea Canada has 12 stores which the company says attracts more than 25 million people every year.
