Online home furnishings retailer Wayfair (NYSE: W) enjoyed a strong first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange, selling for as high as $39 per share.
The Boston company's IPO price was $29 a share. During the first day, on volume of 16,139,804 shares, the stock closed at $37.72. That's a nice 30 percent gain. Investor's Business Daily rated it the top of six initial offerings on Thursday.
