Allison Eremita has joined youth and bedroom supplier In-Room Designs as director of youth design and merchandising.
Prior to joining In-Room Designs, Eremita was most recently marketing manager and merchandiser of youth and accents for Magnussen Home. Eremita will lead youth design and assist with marketing, as In-Room Designs looks to grow its distribution in 2015.
“We are delighted to tap into Allison’s extensive youth and product development experience as we look to expand our business," said Marc Katzman, president. "Her sales and marketing experience will be a huge asset in our ability to make more retailers and consumers aware of who we are and what we do. The fact that she is a certified interior designer with an engineering degree makes her an addition to our team that we couldn’t pass up."
Eremita, a 22-year industry veteran, started her career in sales with Riverside Furniture where she handled major accounts and started designing youth bedroom and accents after the birth of her first child. Since that time, she has worked as an independent designer and marketing consultant for broad array of clients in all aspects of product design, but says youth product design is her favorite category.
“I’ve loved the freedom youth product development allows for creativity," she said. "As a mother of a teenage girl and a young son, I continue to live the sleep, study, storage needs of both genders from infancy to teen everyday. In-Room Designs is a company that prides itself on originality and I am excited to work with a company who leads in creativity and innovation."
