Groovystuff Sets 1-Day Design Challenge at FSU

Reclaimed wood furniture vendor Groovystuff will hold a one-day Design Challenge Oct. 24 as part of the Interior Design Educator Council South Region Conference 2014 at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.

This challenge will focus on designing lighting, furniture, and home furnishings for Groovystuff. Students will work with Founder and President Chris Bruning to design and develop lighting and/or furniture. Students will be provided with samples of raw materials from the company and lunch for the event.

Bruning also will deliver the conference's keynote address.

Students participating in the design challenge are tasked with developing furniture and/or lighting products utilizing the reclaimed materials found in the Groovystuff product line. It also includes breakout sessions on materials and manufacturing, and individual critique time with Bruning and other designers.
