Goldstein Joins Blueport Commerce as EVP

Former Sears executive Randy Goldstein has joined Blueport Commerce, an omnichannel solutions provider for the $78 billion furniture industry, as executive vice president, e-commerce.

At Blueport, Goldstein will leverage his extensive omnichannel experience to drive growth for the furniture retailers who run their branded omnichannel Web sites on the Blueport SaaS platform and generate incremental sales through Blueport’s Furniture.com shopping portal.

“We are excited to welcome Randy and his wealth of operational, e-commerce and strategy experience to our management team,” said Carl Prindle, president and CEO of Blueport Commerce, Boston, Mass. “Randy is a proven leader who has demonstrated the ability to drive dramatic online sales growth for a top retailer and has implemented leading omnichannel technologies in Sears stores. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to build the company and execute on our strategy.”

Goldstein joins Blueport from Sears, where he served as divisional vice president and general manager of online home appliances. He is credited with delivering industry-leading revenue growth to reestablish the company’s dominance in the online home appliances market. He also implemented tablet-based POS systems and omnichannel commission structures in Sears retail locations. Goldstein earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in economics from Swarthmore College.

“Blueport has tremendous potential. I am impressed with the company’s technology as well as its leadership team,” said Goldstein. “I look forward to leveraging my experience in ecommerce to help Blueport reach the next stage in its growth trajectory.”
