Wolf's Furniture to Open Outlet in Maryland

Home furnishings retailer Wolf's Furniture is set to open a 45,000-square-foot outlet store in Frederick, Md., later this month.
Wolf’s Furniture is opening an outlet store at the former Super Fresh location in Ballenger Creek Plaza.
The 45,000-square-foot space has been vacant since 2011, when Super Fresh closed most of its stores.
“We had a 15-year lease on a store in Altoona (Pennsylvania), and it was to run out in December. We weren’t able to negotiate a favorable extension, so we decided to open the outlet in Frederick,” said Doug Wolf, CEO of the family-owned business, in a telephone interview Tuesday.
“We saw Frederick as a good location, good customers, good employees,” Wolf said.
The opening of the new store, set for Sept. 18, will not affect operations at the store at 1215 W. Patrick St., which has been open for more than 10 years, Wolf said.
