Ikea Sales Increase 6%

Home furnishings retailer Ikea reported that its sales are growing globally, and China is now its fastest growing market.
The retailer said its sales climbed about 6 percent to 28.7 billion euros ($37 billion) through August.
"We continue to see positive signs in consumer spending and its a great joy to report growth in almost all of our markets," said Peter Agnefjall, CEO.
The company offered no other details on its financial health other than to say online shopping and store visits both increased. Ikea's full earnings report for the full year ended Aug. 31 in January.
Ikea operates 315 stores in 27 countries. China is home to eight of Ikea's 10 largest stores.
