Home Run! Gallery Furniture Issues Refunds to Customers

Thanks to the Houston Astros' 63rd win this season, Gallery Furniture is refunding millions to the first 500 consumers who purchased at least $6,300 worth of furniture.
Houston-based Gallery Furniture and owner Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale are going to shell out millions for the second time this year after the Houston Astros won their 63rd game of the season this weekend.
McIngvale in April offered full refunds to the first 500 customers who spent $6,300 or more at Gallery Furniture if the team won at least 63 games this season. After their 4-3 win over Oakland on Sept. 7, the Astros are now 63-80. That’s already better than the entire past three seasons, in which the team only won 51 (2013), 55 (2012) and 56 (2011) games.
And it means Gallery Furniture will be refunding about $4 million to those 500 customers.
