Specialized furniture carrier and logistics provider Zenith Global Logistics has opened a second, 62,500-square-foot facility in Flower Mound, Texas.
The move expands Conover, N.C.-based Zenith's presence there by 37 percent for a total of 230,769 square feet of space.
“Demand for our freight, 3PL warehousing, and home delivery service in the region has increased significantly since we opened our first Flower Mound facility in 2011,” said Jack Hawn, President and CEO. “This latest expansion will allow home furnishings manufacturers and retailers to tap inventory that is closer to their customers and provide faster speed to market.”
The two Dallas-area operations service the states of Texas, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Zenith Global also recently added a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Verona, Miss. Both the Texas and Mississippi expansions are a continuation of the company’s long-range strategic growth plan, which has included establishing a network of regional facilities, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Indianapolis, San Antonio and West Palm Beach, Fla. In recent years, Zenith Global also boosted its North Carolina storage and handling capacity by more than 30 percent when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover as its new corporate headquarters.
