Furniture First's Ron Page Needs Kidney Transplant

Ron Page, senior director of merchandising for the Furniture First buying group, is in need of a kidney transplant and several in the industry have established a fundraising campaign to help defray costs not covered by insurance.

The last few years have been medically challenging for Page, but during the recent Las Vegas Market, he took a turn for the worse. Doctors discovered that his kidneys are failing with only 10 percent function left. He is currently following a dialysis regimen.

Page's medical team said a transplant is his treatment. An organ transplant is expensive, and the amount covered by medical insurance still makes treatment nearly unattainable.

Friends have established a GoFundMe page to raise funds. As of press time  this morning, the goal had almost been met through generous donations from a number of notable furniture names.

If you're inclined to pitch in and every dollar matters, go online to support Page's battle.
