Marketing Roles Expanded at Dormeo

Bedding vendor Dormeo has increased the responsibilities of three seasoned marketing directors.

Karen Baartmans is director of retail marketing, Jason Berge is director of direct response and advertising, and Olivia Rodriguez is director of digital marketing. Dany Sfeir, who joined Dormeo a little more than a year ago, has left the company.

Baartmans has more than 15 years experience as a senior executive in advertising and retail marketing. Before joining Dormeo, Plano, Texas, in 2013, she held several director level positions with Mosaic Sales Solutions, a North American retail field marketing company; and prior to that position, was an account executive at Bozell Kamstra Advertising.

Berge is a direct marketing veteran with nearly 20 years experience in database marketing, media plan development and integrated marketing strategy. Before joining Dormeo in 2013, he was media director of the BAF brand Delta T; and prior to that position, was director of media for Tempur-Pedic.

Rodriguez has more than 10 years experience developing social and digital media strategy and leading successful implementation teams for clients across a broad spectrum of industries. She also joined Dormeo in 2013. During her career she has been regularly recognized as one of the Top 70 social media and SEO experts to follow on Twitter.

“Over the past year, Karen, Jason and Olivia have distinguished themselves as exceptional marketers who have propelled our brand to new heights,” said Dormeo N.A. CEO Jon Stowe. "We are pleased to recognize their achievements and increase their responsibilities as we grow our business to the next level.

“I want to thank Dany for his many contributions to our business in his short time with us. He elevated our presence, especially at the Las Vegas markets, built a phenomenal team and a great direct response platform. However, as our retail business has grown and our corporate priorities changed, we became much more focused on traditional marketing.”
