Philadelphia Furniture Creates Family Unity Project

Furniture retailer Furniture Sir Plus has introduced the Family Unity Project, a group of projects to help strengthen families and communities in which its stores are located.
The Philadelphia-based company's Family Unity Network will feature a blog where people can get advice on issues related to home and family. The blog will also provide a forum for people to submit questions to various experts.
"We at Furniture Sir Plus, have always considered ourselves to be in the business of strengthening families and communities," said Phillip Trenk, CEO. "Communities with strong family units tend to be more vibrant and stable, and that benefits everyone that is involved in it."
Trenk said the retailer is in the business "of making houses into homes" and the Family Unity Network is an outgrowth of that.
