"Factory Man" Debuts High on NY Times List

The book is drawing a lot of attention outside furnitureland. Bassett will appear with Macy in a joint interview on PBS Newshour within the next two to four weeks. No firm date has been set.
 
Bassett also will appear on The Colbert Report in August or September. That should be some fun television.
 
Last week, actor Tom Hanks tweeted that he gives "Factory Man" "42 stars, no 142 stars, it's that good." Hanks has more than 8 million followers on Twitter.
 
At High Point Furniture Market, Macy and John Bassett will do a book signing in the company's space on the the 10th floor of the IHFC's Commerce wing, 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18.
