Zenith Opens Mississippi Freight Hub

Home furnishings supply chain specialist Zenith Global Logistics has opened a new freight hub and warehouse in Verona, Miss.

The new 30,000-square-foot facility replaces the existing freight hub opened in 2009, at the Tupelo Furniture Market, expanding Zenith Global’s footprint in the region.

“This new hub will enable us to provide quicker, more consistent on-time service to this region,” said Jack Hawn, president and CEO of Zenith Global Logistics, Conover, N.C. “Our new Verona hub will be handling pickups and deliveries, and then moving freight through Zenith Global’s domestic and international network. We will also offer consolidation service for shipments coming from the east and west as well as provide full-service 3PL warehousing.”

The Verona facility, which has room available for future expansion, will provide service to Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, the Florida panhandle and western Tennessee.

The addition of the expansion in Mississippi is part of a long-range strategic growth plan. In the past several years, Zenith has opened regional hubs throughout the United States, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Indianapolis, San Antonio and West Palm Beach, Fla. It also recently boosted its North Carolina storage and handling capacity by more than 30 percent when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover as its new corporate headquarters. Future plans include an expanded Texas facility.
