HD Buttercup Sues One Kings Lane

The suit, filed in the Central District of California, claims that One Kings Lane misappropriated HD Buttercup’s name and registered trademark in ads posted on Google by One Kings Lane in an attempt to pass itself off as associated with HD Buttercup, thereby drawing HD Buttercup’s customers and potential customers to One Kings Lane rather than to the HD Buttercup website the customers were seeking.

HD Buttercup seeks to enjoin One Kings Lane against any further use of the HD Buttercup name and mark, an order requiring One Kings Lane to divulge any and all information on gains obtained from its misappropriation of HD Buttercup’s name and mark, and compensation for the damages inflicted as a result of One Kings Lane's conduct.
