July 3,
2014 by in Industry, Special Events
The gathering, set on Aug. 24-27 at Caesar's Palace, will feature three full days of educational presentations and workshops designed to motivate members and help them succeed. In addition to a full roster of business-focused presentations, additional seminars and service offerings will focus on proactively improving health and wellness.
“We live in a very fast-paced world where technology and gadgets are moving us along at breakneck speed, but that can backfire if you don’t have a good work-life balance,” said Bob Lawrence, CEO of BrandSource, Tustin, Calif. “This year, in addition to our terrific line-up of dynamic speakers offering insights to help members drive traffic and increase sales, we’re adding additional components to help them live healthier lives.”
Theismann is an entrepreneur and former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins. Theismann, a 12-year NFL veteran, played in 163 consecutive games from 1974-1985 and holds several Redskins records. A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Theismann led Washington to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII. Unfortunately, his football career ended abruptly in 1985, when he sustained a devastating broken leg during a nationally televised game against the New York Giants.
Today, Theismann is a highly sought-after motivational speaker and author, and he oversees Theismann’s, the popular Washington, D.C.-area restaurant that bears his name. He’s the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Football Like a Pro and recently was the recipient of the 2013 Walter Camp Foundation’s “Distinguished American” Award.
Seminars include:
* Healthy Teams: Beating Chronic Disease in America and Why This Matters To Your Team, presented by Joe Higgins.
* Owner's Paradox: Run Your Business on Strategy and Systems, And Not by the Seat of Your Pants, presented by David Romano.
* Leadership: If You’re Not Growing, You’re Dying, by Trina Gray, fitness entrepreneur.
