Wayfair Renews Partnership with Habitat

Online home furnishings retailer Wayfair and Habitat for Humanity International have renewed their global partnership to help build and rehabilitate affordable homes.

Wayfair enters its third year as a Habitat partner, providing financial support, volunteer mobilization and product donations to help eliminate poverty housing and homelessness.

"At Wayfair we believe everyone deserves a place to call home," said Niraj Shah, CEO and co-founder of Wayfair, Boston, Mass. "We are proud to extend our partnership with Habitat for Humanity to help build safe and affordable homes."

Over the past two years, the Wayfair partnership has contributed more than $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity. Wayfair donates home furnishings and decor to Habitat ReStores resale outlets to help fund home builds around the country. In addition, Wayfair raises funds and awareness for the cause by providing a donation at check-out feature on Wayfair.com.

"Wayfair has been an integral part of Habitat's work to strengthen families and revitalize communities nationwide," said Colleen Ridenhour, deputy director of corporate, foundation and institutional relations for Habitat for Humanity International. "We're so grateful to Wayfair for its past support and renewed commitment, and we look forward to this exciting new chapter of our partnership."

To continue the tradition of employee volunteerism, Wayfair's member-only brand, Joss & Main, participated in a home build in the Greater Boston area last week to help a local family in the company's own backyard.
