The Brick Donates $66K to Wounded Warriors

Home furnishings retailer The Brick raised more than $66,000 in support of Wounded Warriors in Canada

The retailer's inaugural Proudly Canadian Event prominently featured upholstered furniture items designed and manufactured by Canadians for Canadians.

During April, The Brick joined forces with Wounded Warriors, a non-profit organization that supports Canadian military and veterans who have been injured while serving Canada. For every piece of Canadian-made furniture purchased during the month, The Brick made a donation to Wounded Warriors of $5 per piece and up to $25 if three pieces were purchased together.

"Canadians appreciate the sacrifices that our Canadian military and their families have made and they showed it during The Brick's Proudly Canadian Event," said Jim Caldwell, president of The Brick. "We are honored we could be a part of this successful event."

The total amount donated was $66,138.

"The Brick took real initiative and delivered by raising over $66,000 in support of Wounded Warriors Canada," said Scott Maxwell, executive director of Wounded Warriors Canada. "We sincerely thank The Brick, and the supporters of The Brick's Proudly Canadian Event by raising important awareness and funds to support our national programs and services geared towards mental health."
