Sleep Innovations, Flexible Foam Products Merge to Become Innocor

The merger of two Sun Capital Partners affiliates—Sleep Innovations and Flexible Foam Products—is complete, and the merged company is called Innocor, Inc.

The company has also named Carol Eicher president and CEO of Innocor, which is now the second largest producer of flexible polyurethane foam in North America.

“This is an exciting day for the company as we adopt the name Innocor Inc., to communicate that innovation is at the core of everything we do, and we appoint a new CEO in Carol Eicher,” said Richard C. Brown, chairman of Innocor. “The board and I are confident Carol is the best choice to guide the business as we leverage our increased manufacturing footprint as both a retail partner and OEM supplier.”

Most recently, Eicher was business president of Dow's global coating and construction division.

Prior to that, Eicher was a global business director of Rohm and Haas, which was acquired by Dow in 2009. Previously, Eicher held several manufacturing positions at Ashland Chemical Co., a division of Ashland Inc., and at E. I. du Pont de Nemours.

“I’m thrilled to come on board during this pivotal time in the company’s history,” Eicher said. “This company has never viewed itself as simply a foam converter, and our new name reflects that. From our rich tradition of research-based innovations to our deep knowledge of industry trends, Innocor Inc. is committed to translating the science of foam into true product solutions for our partners.”
