Connolly Rejoins Eclipse, Eastman House as President

Stuart Carlitz will serve as chairman of Eclipse International where he will focus on international licensing of the Eclipse and Eastman House brands.

“Matthew’s rejoining the Eclipse and Eastman House brands as president will allow us to better manage our key brands domestically by marketing our proprietary, patented technologies offering unique solutions to support, alignment, performance, quality, competitive pricing and stronger retailer and consumer services in the U.S.,” Carlitz said. “We will be reviewing our entire marketing and product claims proposition to our customers. We are very excited about having Matthew resume his position as president of Eclipse.”

Previously, Connolly was president of Eclipse International, as

well as previously serving as executive vice president of Bedding Industries of America (B.I.A.), the manufacturers of Eclipse, Eastman House, Hemingway Mattresses, and Therapedic for more than 13 years.

Prior to working for B.I.A, Connolly held management positions with major manufacturers as well has having owned and operated several retail establishments in the furniture and bedding trade.

Through his experience, Connolly brings a knowledge and understanding of the bedding industry from the development stages, to the manufacturing level, right up to the retail level.

In the U.S. Eclipse services national accounts as well as many independent retailers across the country with 10 licensees and sub-licensees.
