Cardi's Honored for Service

cardi's awardCardi's Furniture received the "What's Right About Rhode Island" Award on May 26 during ceremonies at McCoy Stadium during a recent Pawtucket Red Sox baseball game.

Nick, Ron and Peter Cardi were joined by PawSox President Mike Tamburro and Vice President Michael Gwynn.

What's Right About Rhode Island is an initiative that recognizes companies, organizations, and non-profit entities for their contributions to the state. The honorees take part in a pre-game ceremony at which they are presented and Award of Distinguished Leadership and Accomplishment for providing an inspirational example of why Rhode Island is a wonderful place to love, work and do business.

The awards were first presented in 2013 and are the result of a joint partnership between the PawSox and Bryant University as well as a group of respected and influential local leaders.

“There are so many reasons to love Rhode Island. Our goals is to accentuate the positive and share it with as many people as possible," Tamburro said. "Cardi's Furniture is a terrific example of 'What is Right About Rhode Island.'”

Family owned and operated Cardi’s has been in business since 1928 and currently operates 20 locations throughout Southern New England. Cardi's is a Multi-Year Recipient and Current Hall of Fame Inductee for RI Monthly's Best of RI for Excellent Customer Service and the 2013 National Association of Secretary of State Medallion Recipient.

Cardi’s Furniture is active in numerous local charitable and non-profit organizations including: Ronald McDonald House: Providence, Meeting Street, US Marines Toys for Tots, Hasbro Children's Hospital, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, and Children's Wishes of RI.
