Nikki Chu Home for IMAX will debut at the Summer 2014 markets.
Chu’s philosophy is to create environments that are sleek and serene, with touches of glamour. Her interiors are accented by distinctive pieces, eclectic finds and an innate sense of timeless style. She mixes modern lines with a vintage flair that aligns perfectly with a dramatic fashion-fused vision.
Nikki’s first collection with IMAX makes particular use of metallics. Where others see metallics as merely an accent, Nikki has them take a primary role, accenting with black and white for maximum impact. Metallic shades and finishes are mixed--gold, silver, copper and bronze pieces are featured together in a combination of matte, shiny and even ombré finishes.
The designs draw inspiration from vintage ornate silhouettes, exaggerated and updated to create modern heirlooms. Details come from Nikki’s passion for high fashion--classic designer quilting techniques, pyramid studs, and chain accents to mention a few. The combined elements aim for an edgy, modern statement, but when featured individually or in smaller groupings, they can be used in a variety of settings.
“We are extremely excited about our newest collaboration--Nikki fuses her design talents and extensive industry experience with an obsession for fashion to create an affordable luxury lifestyle collection unique to IMAX,” said IMAX Vice President of Sales Rex Yoakley.
