RoomPlace Opens 22nd Store

The RoomPlace has served Chicagoland and greater Indianapolis since 1912 and is committed to additional growth throughout Indiana and Illinois.
 
A grand opening of the new store located at 8401 N. Michigan Rd. is set for Friday at 12:30 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to continue our rapid expansion in Indianapolis,” said Paul Adams, CEO of The RoomPlace, Lombard, Ill. “We have been in this market since 2008 and find this city, its communities and residents to be a natural fit for our business. The value-conscious consumers here appreciate the excellent service and quality furniture we offer at affordable prices.”
 
This new location will bring more than 20 new jobs to Indianapolis. After entering the Indiana market in 2008, The RoomPlace found fast success and is now the second-largest furniture retailer in the Indianapolis area, with all local locations experiencing substantial year over year sales growth. The company is also planning to open another Indianapolis-area store later this year.
 
“We have been able to grow at impressive speeds in the Indianapolis area,” said The RoomPlace Chairman and Owner Bruce Berman. “We already have stores in Castleton, Greenwood and Carmel and are excited to add these two additional locations. Bringing new jobs to the area is something we’re passionate about, along with giving back to the community.”
 
To celebrate the grand opening and the company’s commitment to Indianapolis, The RoomPlace is donating $2,500 in furniture to Pike Township Fire Department. Pike Township Fire Department Deputy Chief Chris Bachman will attend the grand opening celebration and make furniture selections for the station following the ribbon cutting.
 
The RoomPlace also is rewarding local customers with a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree. Shoppers are able to sign up in person at the new store any time between May 23 and July 12.
