Industry veteran David Sadlowski has joined full-line furniture vendor Lexington Home Brands as vice president and general manager of upholstery operations.
Sadlowski, who will be based at the company’s upholstery complex in Hildebran, N.C., has responsibility for all aspects of domestic manufacturing and international sourcing. He reports to Phil Haney, president and CEO of Lexington, Thomasville, N.C.
“With over 25 years experience in managing both domestic manufacturing and global sourcing, we are extremely pleased to have someone with David’s expertise and broad understanding of the business as a member of our management team,” said Haney. “Our upholstery division has delivered strong double-digit sales growth for six consecutive years, and is poised to accelerate that pace due to the success of Tommy Bahama Outdoor Living--an acquisition that has proven to be a powerful brand extension platform for both Lexington and our retail partners.”
Sadlowski served most recently as vice president of manufacturing and Asian operations for American Signature Furniture. Prior to that, he was vice president of manufacturing for Thomasville Furniture Inds. Earlier in his career he served as plant manager for Bradington-Young.
“Upholstered seating is clearly the most vibrant category in furniture retail today,” said Sadlowski. “With a diverse offering of fully custom and married programs, combined with a huge outdoor living business, Lexington has positioned themselves to capture market share at an increasing rate in the middle and upper price points. I am extremely pleased to be joining an experienced management team for which I have a great deal of respect.”
