Home Meridian International will relocate its corporate headquarters next spring with the construction of a new office building near its current location in High Point.
HMI is currently headquartered on Premier Drive in the Premier Center in northeast High Point. The new building will be constructed across the street, in the same office park. HMI will be the anchor tenant.
According to Home Meridian International CEO George Revington, this relocation will provide additional office space as well as the opportunity for more efficient use of space.
“Since our founding in 2006, HMI has experienced tremendous growth. This move will allow us to organize our office in the most efficient way, as well as provide us with the ability to grow as needed, both organically and with acquisitions,” Revington said. “This move also reaffirms our commitment to the High Point community.”
The new headquarters will be approximately 24,000 square feet with a commitment of 7 years.
Construction will be coordinated by Carolina Investment Properties, owners of Premier Center.
“We are happy to continue our partnership with Robin Team and Carolina Investment Properties,” Revington said. “They have been diligent in understanding our needs as our companies have grown and have been a great partner to HMI.”
Carolina Investment Properties plans to begin construction soon with expected occupancy in April 2015.
