OMI Names Bacon Director of Sales Development

Organic Mattresses Inc. has named Lauraine Bacon director of sales development, a new position at the manufacturer of organic mattresses.
Bacon, who reports to to OMI President and Founder Walt Bader, will focus on new accounts and add support to service and training.
She is responsible for prospecting open areas of distribution for OMI nationwide; analyzing the company’s organic demographic studies to focus on specific areas with organic consumer demands; and identifying and assisting new accounts in bringing the Organicpedic by OMI line of products into additional retail locations.
“Lauraine’s sustainable-industry know-how and sales expertise has proved to be an immediate asset for OMI," Bader said. "She has a great track record of bringing sustainable products and programs to market and we know we will benefit tremendously from her experience."
Bacon received her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University where she majored in marketing. She currently resides in Alta, Calif.
OMI, Yuba City, Calif., is a full-circle environmental company dedicated to supporting America’s organic and sustainable farmers. Its mattresses qualify under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s LEED indoor air-quality program. In 2013, OMI became was first mattress manufacturer to obtain the Global Organic Latex Standard, certifying the company’s latex mattress cores are fully organic.
