            Consumer Sentiment Hits 9-Month High

        Consumer sentiment is sunnier than it has been in nine months, according to the University of Michigan and Thomson Reuters.
   The overall consumer sentiment gauge from the university climbed to a preliminary reading of  82.6 in April—the highest since July—from a final tally in March of 80.
According to the sentiment report, consumers' views on current economic conditions climbed to 97.1 in April from 95.7 in March.
