Bowling Wins Furnituredealer.net March Madness Pool

Furnituredealer.net, which provides Web and e-commerce solutions for home furnishings retailers, organized the pool, with winners donating their winnings to charity. Appalachia Service Project repairs homes for low-income families around rural Central Appalachia.
In second place, Jim Bright of Dunk & Bright, Syracuse, N.Y., won $500 for the South Side Innovation Center, a program that provides spaces for local neighborhood businesses to use while moving from one place to another in the Syracuse area.
In third place, Furnituredealer.net's client relations team won $250 for its charity of choice, People Serving People. This Minneapolis homeless shelter houses families with children and helps them prepare to eventually move into their own homes.
As a surprise, Furnituredealer.Net also gave $250 to the fourth place winner, Jack Steger of Steger's Furniture, Pekin, Ill. He will name a charity for his donation.
This March Madness bracket also awarded three other prizes to people at random places.
Pat Bowling won the $250 prize for most teams right in the Elite Eight. This also will go to Appalachia Service Project. Bob Lietz won the $500 prize for placing right in the middle at 38th place. He chose to send his prize money to the American Cancer Society. John Bauer from Prime Brothers, Bay City, Mi., won $250 for getting third from last place. He will be send this prize money to Faith Lutheran Church and School in Bay City.
