Furnishings Industry Tops $1M for City of Hope

The annual Spirit of Life dinner held last night during Market topped more than $1 million in donations for City of Hope, and the final tally could climb beyond that.
The dinner, which honored Alan Cole, formerly of Hooker Furniture, and the Baer Family of Baer's Furniture.
Upcoming industry events to benefit the City of Hope include the annual West Coast Golf & Tennis Tournament set for June 9 at Coto de Caza, Calif. The event honors George Tsai and Jason Liu of Fairmont Designs.
The industry nominees for the 2015 Spirit of Life dinner to be held during next Spring High Point Market are Clarence Smith of Havertys Furniture and Kurt Darrow of La-Z-Boy.
