W. Schillig Rolls out Digital Catalog Technology
April 7,
2014 by in Industry, Retail Technology
Leather upholstery supplier W. Schillig is offering a tool for retail sales associates to show consumers upholstery options via iPads.
The company has used IDM formatted technology in Germany for some time now is now rolling it out to North American dealers.
The technology allows sales associates the ability to configure Schillig upholstery, product covers and colors, as well as wall and floor color.
The digital catalog puts pictures, SKU lists, prices and technical information in the hands of the sales person. It creates a technologically savvy and professional presentation that shows the consumer a conceptual picture of how the product will look in the selected cover and configuration. The app allows for quick changes to selected configurations, eliminates the possibility for mistakes in ordering, and increases ordering efficiency.
Implementation of the W. Schillig model catalog is underway.
“Our goal is to have our best selling models implemented into the database for use by Schillig and retail sales professionals by the fall of 2014,” said David Stewart, W. Schillig vice president. “We are very excited about getting this technology out to our retail partners.”
