Piper Named GM at Carolina Mattress Guild

Bedding industry veteran Scott Piper has been named general manager of Thomasville, N.C.-based manufacturer Carolina Mattress Guild.
In this newly created position, Piper’s responsibilities include the creation and implementation of new corporate initiatives and strategies, including procurement, assembly, service support and general manufacturing projects. He reports to Carolina Mattress Guild CEO Neal Grigg.
Prior to joining Carolina Mattress Guild, Piper spent 26 years at Sealy in a variety of roles ranging from director of marketing for specialty bedding to vice president of product merchandising to, most recently, vice president of new product development.
“I believe Scott’s combination of broad experience, passion for the mattress business and drive to succeed will help us build upon our current growth and direction,” Grigg said.
