Studio A to open New York Showroom

Contemporary furniture vendor Studio A will open its first New York showroom in the New York Design Center.

The new showroom will debut mid-May with more than 4,000 square feet of space neighboring Global Views on the 6th floor of the NYDC, home to some of the most significant design brands in the country. The opening is set to coincide with the 26th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair, a global design event drawing thousands of international designers, architects and retailers.

“We’ve been especially pleased with the results generated in the NYDC so far,” said David Gebhart, company president and CEO. “We’re excited to expand our presence there with the new Studio A space. This will be a great addition to what’s already a strong floor with neighbors such as Julian Chichester, John Richard, The Phillips Collection, Arteriors Home, Palecek, and many more.

“Customer response to the Studio A line in New York has been overwhelming, even without a strong presence of product. Our New York showroom team has done an exceptional job growing business in that region and we know they are thrilled about this expansion. Not only does the new space allow us the ability to more thoroughly present Studio A to our New York customers, but also the opportunity to expand the Global Views line and mix the two together with relevant lifestyle merchandising among 8 wonderfully appointed vignettes.”

The new showroom, located in NYDC Suite 614 at 200 Lexington Av., will be staffed by Global Views and Studio A and will be open year-round.
