Definitive Rest Takes Majority Ownership in Cafinasa

Under the agreement, Definitive Rest will assume responsibility for the mattress design, production and logistics of the combined company.

Founded in 1960 by Victoria de Zamora, Cafinasa's focus has always been to provide the highest quality mattress manufacturing using all cotton materials. With the introduction of springs to mattress manufacturing, Cafinasa changed its process and added spring technology in combination with the use of cotton to establish its niche in the Guatemalan and other Central American markets.

Founded in 2009 in Montclair, Calif., Definitive Rest has carved out its niche by allowing consumers to build their own mattresses online.
