Case goods supplier Elements International has acquired promotional upholstery and case goods vendor AIF Trading Group.
The AIF assets feature a line of upholstered living and bedroom collections and accent pieces that coordinate with Elements’ current and upcoming lineup. The AIF lineup will maintain the same vibrant and colorful style and remain under the leadership of Carl Scholl, current president of AIF.
“The team at AIF is extremely pleased to be part of such a dynamic company as Elements International," Scholl said. "With the integration of our product lines and with the teams and sourcing in place in Asia, there is no doubt this new alignment will take us to the next level and definitely benefit both companies’ loyal customers."
At the High Point Market, the Elements' showroom will incorporate AIF product alongside Elements goods.
“We are really excited to be combining AIF products with Elements’," said Mike Wurster, president of Elements. "Carl and his team have a great reputation in the industry and we have always been very impressed with their products and innovation. We are certain that combining Elements’ outstanding bedroom merchandise with AIF’s products, while integrating backend systems and processes will ultimately help our customers sell more furniture.”
The companies expect a seamless transaction.
“We feel AIF is the best-kept upholstery secret in the industry," said Paul Comrie, Elements' CEO. "The blending of these two product lines will improve logistics, sales and marketing as a whole but these synergies are only an added bonus. The options are endless for dealers to really drive their sales per square foot. The combination of Elements’ exciting new bedroom introductions with the launch of AIF at High Point for the first time should make for the best market in our company's history.”
