Gallery Furniture to Open Biggest Store Yet

Gallery Furniture plans to add its largest store yet in Southwest Houston. The 140,000-square-foot should open in December.
Houston-based Gallery Furniture is going big with the addition of a new store it plans to build in southwest Houston, as well as a new business it launched earlier this year.
The new 140,000-square-foot store will be located off the Grand Parkway in Richmond, next to the Palladium Theater, and is expected to open in December. Gallery Furniture owner Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale told HBJ he plans to hire between 50 to 75 new employees to work at the store.
This marks Gallery Furniture's third Houston-area location and, more significantly, will be the furniture retailer's largest store.
