CDG to Hold 2014 Conference in Miami

The annual event brings together San Diego-based CDG's retailer members with partner manufacturers and vendors for networking, team-building and business development.

“We’re very excited about the change,” says CDG President Howard Haimsohn. “This marks the first time in our 30-year history that we’ve hosted the conference outside of San Diego.”

The change in venue will also bring changes to the format and content of the conference.

“This year, we’re going to be bringing more ‘contemporary’ and ‘design’ than ever before,” said CDG Executive Director Alicia Mendez. “Attendees can expect to see a new focus on design and networking, as well as innovative use of technology.”

The 2014 Conference starts Dec. 5 with a welcome reception and concludes the morning of Dec. 7. Vendors or manufacturers interested in attending and partnering with CDG should contact Mendez for details at alicia@contemporarydesign.com.

The Contemporary Design Group is a national association of independent home furnishings showrooms, specializing in modern and contemporary design. Currently the buying/performance/networking group is 39 showrooms strong with retail members in more 36 cities from coast to coast.
