Agio Names Sr. VP of Product Design

DeFouw joined Agio in 2004 and has been involved in the company's gas fire pits, stone top tables and several of the line's successful high-end dining and seating collections. He has also led teams working on some of Agio's custom programs for the company's largest retailers.

“This promotion is a testament to Doug’s tireless work, his keen eye and design instincts with Agio over the past decade," said Bob Gaylord, president. "It greatly pleases me that this key position was filled from within our own ranks.” 

Prior to joining Agio, DeFouw worked designing custom office furniture. For nearly 20 years, he rose through product design management position so commercial and residential lighting suppliers like NL Corp., Genlyte (now owned by Philips)  and Progress Lighting. He has also owned a design consulting company.

Agio has one of the industry’s strongest design teams which will help us achieve our goals, I’m incredibly excited to lead this group.”
