Thigpen Named VP at Dreams LLC

Thigpen, who began his 10-year career in the bedding industry immediately after graduation from college, spent six years with Kingsdown, becoming the company’s western regional sales manager before joining King Koil Licensing Company as vice president of training and sales technologies. He later joined Southerland as its western regional vice president of sales.

Thigpen will relocate from California to Michigan, where Dreams LLC’s corporate office is located.

“Dan will be a true asset to Dreams LLC as we finalize the HGTV Home Sleep Collection and begin distribution throughout the United States and Canada,” said Scott Miller, president. “He has a proven track record of sales leadership, marketing, product development and sales technology designs, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Dreams LLC family.”

The new HGTV Home Sleep Collection features a range of innovative products designed to serve the entire family. The collection includes four unique lines of mattresses, three adjustable bed bases, specialized metal frames and support systems, 12 pillow designs, six distinctive mattress toppers as well as mattress and pillow protection items, and four new crib mattress and pet bed products.

Art Van PureSleep will be the first anchor retailer to debut the line when it launches across the U.S. and Canada in the second quarter of 2014.
 
Dreams LLC secured the license with HGTV in November 2013.
