Gus*, Partner Retailers Donate 2,900 Pounds of Food

Home furnishings supplier Gus* Design Group and its 130 participating retail partners donated more than 2,900 pounds of food to food banks.
Through the company's Keep on Giving! promotion, consumers were offered a discount on Gus* furniture when they donated to local food banks in January.
Throughout the month-long event, consumers that donated non-perishable food items at a participating Gus* retailer, or showed proof of online donation to Feeding America or to Food Banks Canada, received 15 percent off the MSRP on Gus* Modern upholstery, dining, beds, storage, home office, lighting, and accents. Collected food and donations were distributed by the participating retailers to local food banks in their communities.
“The Gus* Keep On Giving Event is a great way to extend the giving spirit from the holiday season into the new year”, said Erick Roorda, owner of Gus* retailer Mod Livin’ in Denver, Colo. “Hopefully the event gets people thinking about the small things they can do year-round to make a big impact in their communities.”
