MIFF Sees Robust Preregistration

The Malaysian International Furniture Fair is reporting a 40 percent increase in preregistration for its 20th anniversary show set for March 4-8 in Kuala Lumpur.

More than 500 exhibitors from 12 countries are participated in the show, organized by UBM Malaysia and held at the Putra World Trade Centre and Matarade Exhibition and Convention Centre

MIFF has introduced an app available in both iOS and android versions for attendees to stay abreast of exhibitors, products and happenings.

Last year, MIFF drew more than 6,000 international buyers from 140 countries.

"We are seeing many first-time registrants and also, quite a number of buyers who are planning to come back to MIFF after an absence of two to three years," said Datuk Dr. Tan Chin Huat, chairman of MIFF. "The level of interest shows MIFF remains one of the most important markets in the global furniture chain. We have an excellent track record as a top notch show organizer, creating real business for exhibitors and buyers. There is always a wide selection of quality and great value products from top and reliable Malaysian manufacturers, as well as international exhibitors."

Karen Goi, MIFF general manager, said the app will offer visitors a richer show experience.

"At the same time, it will allow our exhibitors to reach an international audience," Goi said. "It is not only informative but also a good tool for networking. The interactive hall plan is an excellent guide for buyers to plan, meet suppliers and explore new products and contacts. We encourage all visitors to download the MIFF app today and start planning to maximize their time at the trade show."
