Retail Sales Drop in January

Sales fell by a revised 0.1 percent in December, and the most recent report shows a drop in automobile sales led categories.
Sales at home furnishings stores fell 2.1 percent for the month compared with sales in January 2013.
Removing auto sales from the mix, gasoline, building materials and food services sales fell 0.3 percent after rising by a revised 0.3 percent in December.
